About Me

I'm a southern gal by way of the North. Who has a passion for nursing, and everything nursing. Just to give you a little bit about me, my name is Geraldine but most people call me Gerri. I have worked in the medical profession in one way or another for over 30 years. Wow that's a long time. Most recently I've mentored fellow nurses transitioning to our department. I have worked as a preceptor to new graduates nurses, to help then to get a better understanding of time management, assessment and delegating to others within their scope of practice. I've also had the pleasure of volunteering for a organization called RN network. We work within the community to provide various senior citizens education regarding safety and wellness check-ups in their homes. Since working in Gastonia N.C. I was asked to become a clinical instructor for a local company. This by far as been one of my most rewarding positions. In which, it gives me a opportunity to bring in my personal teaching styles and lessons learned to the classroom. I understand that everyone will learn differently and it's my goal to help you through the process of understanding a new subject matter. Lastly, I truly love what I do most days. Everyday is never the same in the nursing world, but that is what I enjoy the most . My hope is to show you my passion, love and knowledge of nursing to future clinicians. As a instructor I understanding there are alot of life situations and personal obstacles that will make it difficult to achieve your dreams of becoming clinicians. But from personal experiences I can promise you that if you are disciplined and focused on the current studies you will succeed, you have to do the work and I'm here to help with this.
