About Me

As the eldest of five kids, I've seen my role to teach my siblings as especially important. I cherish the memories I've made with my younger brother. Teaching him how to play our favorite video games to sharing our favorite science fun facts. After COVID I saw how hard school was and know why he fell behind. It was because he needed a teacher/friends to support him, and a family- not worried about financial stability- to answer his questions. Now things are better because I've made it my mission to make school fun for him using our shared love for superheroes and gaming as a source of inspiration and idea communication. While I enjoy this role, it made me realize how much I miss tutoring more broadly. In college, I was lucky enough to have friends motivated to succeed and who loved learning. Long study sessions turned into friends asking for extra help. That's when I first began tutoring and realized how rewarding it was. I love that moment of triumph when someone puts the puzzle together. When people give new energy and insight to an old problem.
