Hello! I am a rising junior at Duke University. I hail from Cleveland, Ohio (Go Cavs!), and I'm currently studying medical sociology, with the intent of going to medical school.
With the stress of AP's and SAT/ACT still fresh in my mind and a younger brother currently going through it, I believe the best use of my knowledge and experience is to recycle it for others' benefit. I want my knowledge of these tests to be useful to someone beyond myself, because I dedicated a lot of time and effort in understanding these tests, and it's a shame to not use it more. I believe enrolling in Varsity Tutors will give me access to motivated students for whom I can actually make a difference, and help them fulfill their potential so that they can achieve their goals. By centering my tutoring philosophy around the student rather than the material, I'm highly optimistic that I can design a tutoring style in collaboration with my student to achieve the best results.
Outside of tutoring, I'm currently working in Chicago as an intern for the Chinese Mutual Aid Association, and I'm training for a half-marathon as well.
