Hello! I received my M.S. in Crisis and Management Psychology from Walden University shortly after receiving my B.A. in Psychology from Capital University. Also at Walden, I spent quite a bit of time studying Counseling Psychology which I enjoyed very much. In the next few years I hope to return to school and finish the one class and the internship I need to complete my counseling degree. In the meantime, I am currently a psychology professor at a university in my city.
I tutor Spanish from basic conversation up through Spanish 3. I tutored Spanish throughout high school and have also taught adults who have wanted to learn the language for their own benefit. I utilize the language on a near daily basis because one of my favorite hobbies is salsa dancing! I enjoy traveling all over the United States to attend salsa dancing events, reading, watching competitive cheerleading, and the beach!
I also tutor Psychology which is an intriguing subject to learn. Understanding the influences psychology has on development, perception, and behavior is fascinating. My tutoring style focuses on thorough explanation of the material while utilizing references and real life examples, so that students are able to not only learn the material, but also obtain the ability to become independent within the subject matter.
