I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Math with a minor in Statistics in 2010. I have been a tutor since 2006, a freshman year in college. Since then I have helped more than 50 students achieve their academic goals and be a mentor for non-academic counseling as well (e.g. career mentoring, what are your values in life etc). I will be tutoring mainly graduate test prep, particularly the GMAT, but I can tutor any college subject materials as well (mainly in Math, Statistics, and any business subjects). I have had a successful career outside of tutoring as well so if you are aspiring to work in business after college and want to know about things like how to break into a certain career path then I can be a great resource for you as well. If you are studying for the GMAT and want to know about Columbia Business School, I can share my thoughts as a current student and share my admissions insights as well.I believe that tutoring is actually building a strong friendship. I do not do this for money but because I really love to see those who I have personal rapport with succeed in their life. I will do my best to find the best way for you not only to ahchieve a certain academic result but also to find and achieve any other life-long goals.I am generally available all throughout the week (morning, day & night), provided that the schedule does not conflict with my class schedule. I will be avialable generally all year-round except during the breaks due to reasons mainly related to internship & my personal schedule.

I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise about a variety of subjects particularly in all aspects of business management as well as English, writing, public speaking, literature, and foreign languages (I'm fluent in German and Russian), as well as personal development skills including college admissions, study planning, stress management and physical fitness. I have 2 master degrees in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University and London Business School (joint dual degree executive global program) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business with concentrations in International Business, Business Law and Marketing. I've had a career in international business and investment management working on market research, business plan drafting, financial valuations and project management for the development of energy projects in emerging markets, and before that had a brief career in commercial real estate project management working on office build-out projects. I now have my own consulting business where I advise small and medium businesses and investors on business plans, growth strategies and industry analysis, as well as guiding business leaders on personal development work-life-balance and leadership skills. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others grow, learn and develop new skills, so am very excited to have the opportunity to tutor.
I graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Biology in 2015. Currently, I am between my first and second years of dental school at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and will graduate with my DDS degree in May of 2019.I first started tutoring in my sophomore year of college for the Biology Department at my university. I ran weekly tutorial sessions for students taking Genetics. Then, after my junior year of college, I also began working for the Physics Department as an exam proctor and weekly quiz grader for the General Physics I & II courses. I was also available for tutoring for students taking the course.I really enjoy working with students of all different learning styles and creating a plan that helps them achieve their potential. Tutoring allows me to keep my skills in the sciences fresh, while helping other students. I am passionate about the sciences and like to apply concepts I learn in class to real life situations. In my first year of dental school I completed a rigorous biomedical science curriculum including anatomy (with cadaver dissection) and physiology. I received honors in these course and would love to tutor in those subjects as well.
I am currently in my first year of my MBA at Boston University. I am attending school to pursue work in Education Consulting or Education Policy. Before Boston University I spent three years teaching reading as a member of Teach for America. My students started two years behind in Reading but ended each year on grade level or above (averaging 3.3 years of growth). An avid reader, I took time to learn best teaching practices adjusting to learning styles and standards.I know how to develop and execute aligned lesson plans, while making lessons fun and engaging so students can be engrossed in the learning. Before teaching I studied History and Anthropology at Columbia University where I also served as a tutor for four years.I have spent the last three years as a reading teacher, leading my students to the top scores in Oklahoma City and the top 5 scores for reading growth in the Kipp Charter School Network. I have received teacher training with Kipp, Teach for America, Skillful Teacher specifically centered on Teaching Reading.I have taught 5th and 6th Grade for three years, I have a teaching certificate in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education where I scored in the top 10% of all students to take the exam.I majored in Ancient Greek history at Columbia University with a minor in Anthropology. I have studied European History, American History and am an avid reader of politics/government. During my spare time I am constantly reading and learning more so I can best teach it.
My name is Golddy Saldana and I am a recent graduate of The Johns Hopkins University where I received a B.S. in Neuroscience and Visual Arts. Currently, I am studying for my Masters in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. I have ample experience working with and teaching children of all ages. In previous years, I have tutored for the SAT, ACT, geometry, and calculus. Given my academic background, I also feel confident and readily prepared to teach high school and college-level Biology and Chemistry.
I am a Computer Science-Statistics and Psychology double major at Columbia University. I have been a tutor for three years, specializing in college-bound high school students and middle school children. While I have experience tutoring many subjects, my favorites are Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I did not discover my passion for these subjects until college (I was admitted to Columbia as pre-law for my writing), and I wish I had been exposed to the fun aspects of these subjects at younger age. Often we are discouraged from science and math while young by phrases like "I'm just not a math person," when the reality is that everybody learns math differently. These subjects are my favorite to tutor because it is incredibly rewarding to facilitate a previously-struggling student's confidence and understanding.
I am a graduate of Rutgers University, and I am currently a graduate student at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. While I have a love of many subjects, my true passion is Reading and Writing. I have experience in tutoring everything from English to Public Speaking and even developing study skills! I believe strong reading and writing skills are key to every subject, and fortifying them is beneficial across the board. When I am not tutoring, you can find me with my nose in a book or exploring NYC museums!
