I am an undergraduate student attending Grinnell College in Iowa to pursue a B.A. in Computer Science. I grew up in Minnesota, and now I am staying in Omaha. I like traveling, meeting new people, and learning everything that I can.

I am able to tutor anything up to Trigonometry. I am talented at utilizing unique teaching strategies and tools to engage students effectively, and foster a fun and fascinating learning environments. I am exceptionally patient and encouraging, while providing individualized and extracurricular support for students that are struggling with learning concepts and mathematical topics.

I am a current student at Grinnell College who is passionate about helping students achieve their academic potential through personalized learning. I have worked as an educator in a variety of contexts, with a wide range of age groups, and know that what it takes for students to thrive is recognition and advocacy for their individuality as students and as people. I am also a big animal lover, and I have just begun volunteering, as a cat adoption specialist, at the Cleveland Animal Protective League. I also love to write as a hobby, and I am now finishing up my 300-page China Journal about my nine years there, and I am ready to commence my Cleveland Journal.

I am an incoming Epidemiology and Global Health Master of Public Health student at the University of Minnesota. I am currently a law student at Northeastern University School of Law. I graduated from college with a B.A. in History and Sociology and have worked hard to keep my reading and college-level writing skills sharp. In my previous position as a community engagement director of a youth non-profit, I hosted college and job preparedness workshops as well as implemented a tutoring program to help youth with their organizational and study skills.

I'm Kara! I graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa in May 2017 where I majored in biological chemistry. During college, I worked as a class mentor for 1st and 2nd-year biology classes. As a mentor, I helped during class time and lab, but I also held sessions twice weekly outside of class to review and teach the material. I really enjoy working with my peers on biology concepts.
