I'm graduating next year with my master's degree in addiction counseling. I graduated from college in 2008 with no sense of purpose or direction. The only thing I felt that I needed to do was make my way up the ladder in the corporate world. I found myself working in a law firm after college as a purchasing assistant for five years. I then made my way into the property management field, working as an administrative assistant and then an accounts payable coordinator.These jobs paid well and brought many benefits but I still felt unfulfilled. I felt that I was not doing my part in the world. I was born and raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York. Growing up in Far Rockaway could be tough at times and we did not have many outlets or mentors to look up to. I enrolled in graduate school and decided to take classes in special education. I realized that I wanted to take a position that allowed me to give back, to help students better themselves. I take great pride in working with students and finding ways to make lessons more accessible. I am looking forward to tutoring your child and showing different ways of learning, so that they are able to master the material that they are presented with.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University with a degree in nursing. Prior, I obtained by associates degree in nursing and a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Hello, my name is Dezarae. I was born and raised in the middle of the United States, better known as, Kansas. My parents were military and stationed at, Ft. Riley, KS, army base. Eventually, my dad left the military and chose Kansas as a place to raise my brother and I. I am single and enjoy shopping, being with family and friends, and attending plays as entertainment. I am currently an online English instructor for a technical college and a secondary district instructional coach in the English/Language Arts department. I thoroughly enjoy helping students brainstorm ideas and interpret literature that leads to great argumentative topics or the classic variety writing styles of basic English. Additionally, I work with reading intervention at all levels and help to differentiate instruction for each student at meet them at their level in order to make gains to push them to proficiency. I am currently taking my last class at Grand Canyon University and then I will be starting my student teaching in the fall. I will be graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, with a Science endorsement. I have been working a Tempe Elementary Schools for the last three years as a personal assistant. My job was to support a child with Down Syndrome how was in all general education classes. When my student did not need help I would walk around the class and help out the other students in the class. I would also take small groups of students and work on what ever it was the teacher wanted me to work on. I enjoy teaching, it is most definitely a passion of mine. I love being apart of those ah ha moments. My teaching philosophy is that every kids can learn if given the tools to succeed. In my off time you will find me camping and fishing with my four kids, I love to be in the outdoors. I also love to play and watching sports. As of right right now I am on three softball teams and one football team.

My name is Zack and I have a BS and MS in Biology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ and have consistently been involved in conducting and writing scientific/medical research since 2016. Currently, my wife and I live in Upstate NY where we are both currently second-year medical students (MS2) and are about to begin our clinical rotations in Michigan in the Fall.
