I am a dual masters holder with an MBA, and MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I love helping students learn along with learning new things myself. I am here to help and assist where available.

I received my bachelors in History at Southwestern University in Texas. While completing my bachelors I worked at a museum as apart of my internship. That is when I felt my calling to education. I loved doing walking tours and teaching people about our little museum. I decided than, that I should get my Master's in Secondary Education at Grand Canyon University. I am seeking a full time job teaching Social Studies but in the meantime I work as a paraprofessional. I love helping students achieve their educational goals. I have a wide variety of experiences working in the academic world. My specialty is Social Studies but I am able to help in many other subjects.

Teaching struggling readers is my PASSION! I have spent the last 23 years serving in the public education system; from classroom teacher to administrator and EVERYTHING in between! My passion for teaching reading inspired me to obtain my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading from Grand Canyon University before achieving a Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2015. After all these years, my favorite job has always been to work with K-5 kiddos, particularly with those who struggle in reading. I started teaching my stuffed animals and younger siblings as early as I can remember, probably right after I started kindergarten. I have been working with young children and teaching ever since. I am currently teaching 4th grade Math in Southern WI in a small town and enjoying my life in a house with my husband, 16 year old daughter, 16 yr old step son, dog, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, gecko lizard, and many fish. We are quite busy with everyone's activities. Having grown up around the globe as a military brat I am definitely enjoying small town time life. I have worked with students from birth-5th grade. I graduated high school from Bakersfield Christian high school and went out to Arizona to now attend Grand Canyon University for a degree studying Special and Elementary Education. Teaching is a major passion for me because I love kids and want each student to find how they can be successful in life by finding their own passion. Through middle and high school, I tutored any elementary subject that was needed for the children I babysat for. For my friends that I tutored, I mostly stuck with math and history because those are the subjects I did best in. I don't have a specific tutoring style because I think it is best to accommodate for the students needs individually, not just assume what works for one child is going to work for another. Although a lot of my time is taken up with school and work, I also enjoy reading, painting, and anything that gives me an excuse to hang out with my friends.

Growing up from my childhood I have always loved math and did much better in it than any other class subject. I would feel stupid in class when they were teaching other class and super smart when it came to math. I was considered smart by people who are way smarter than me. But because I excelled in one thing that they did not they thought I was doing great in everything else which I did not. I now have a degree in Electrical Engineering and feel strong tutoring for math and science subjects.
