I am 20 years after graduating with a bachelor's and master's in education! I love teaching. I love to see the ah-ha moment on a student's face. I don't really have a favorite subject to teach because the subject isn't what makes teaching fun. It is the students. I'm graduating next year with my master's degree in addiction counseling. I have obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have experience tutoring English (ESL) in an Asian country (Japan) where Japanese children want to learn English. I am K-12 Reading and ESOL Endorsed and this has enabled me to apply various reading and ESL strategies when teaching reading and content area subjects. Examples are the Venn diagram, cause/effect chart, concept mapping, K-W-L chart, and RAFT, realia, and visuals. In addition, I have been able to use these same strategies when teaching math.
