I received my Bachelor of Education degree from Drake University where I majored in Educational Psychology. I also possess a Master of Business Administration degree. After spending a few decades in the manufacturing sector, I decided to come back to the field of education in order to contribute to posterity. I also concentrate on style, writing an essay, revising, and editing. My reading experience includes interpreting and analyzing informational text and reading literature. Moreover, I assess and teach student needs in comprehension, vocabulary, fluency prosody, and fluency accuracy. My hobbies include reading, jogging, kayaking, scuba diving, and playing the guitar.

I am a recent Ph. D graduate from Iowa State. While at Iowa State, I was a teaching assistant for the class "Genetics, Biotechnology, and Agriculture" for a year. As a plant breeding major, in addition to extensive classes in genetics, I have experience in studying plant physiology, and gained experience in statistics both from classes and from analysis required in publishing journal manuscripts and my dissertation. The main statistics program I worked with is SAS.

I was lucky to have truly exceptional teachers, starting in elementary school and continuing on through my neurosurgical residency. Inspired by them, I have been teaching in one way or another for about 35 years. Whether I was planning an operation with a resident physician, making orbital models with the chemistry students, or working alongside science fair participants (incidentally including my grandchildren!), these inspirational educators were always in my mind. Hello! I am 27 with a bubbly personality and an enthusiasm for mathematics! I have been tutoring math for 10 years now through different businesses. While I attended Drake University, I worked in the Drake Math Lab for 4 years, and I worked with a variety of students, classes, and majors. I found my love for teaching as I enjoyed working more than my classes. I graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science in May 2014 and soon after attained my Master's Degree in Secondary Math Education from Iowa State University. I have always had a deep love of learning and when I graduated college with a degree in broadcast journalism and joined Teach for America I became passionate about other's education as well. I have taught middle school reading and math for special education and am currently teaching elementary special education. I am also pursuing my master's degree in speech language pathology, hoping to continue to make an impact on children outside the classroom.
