I am in the process now of applying for PhD programs in Computational Biology. I have done research in the field of freshwater ecology and am anticipating the publication of a paper I co-authored in the next several months.

I am committed to helping the student learn material in a way that makes sense to them. If my usual approach does not work, I encourage students to tell me and we will work on a method of instruction that works best for them.

I am an experienced teacher who taught at a private Christian school for 25 years. I tutored students during the school year and the summer. I love working with children. It is exciting to me when a child gets something he/she did not understand before. I like to build a relationship with each student and find out what type of learner he/she is and use methods which will help a child succeed.

I am a creative professional with a background in graphic design combined with instructional technology. During the past 16 years, I have worked in digital media, print media, and technical education industry-wide training. I have developed a passion through the years, growing my graphic design and instructional design skills to improve visual communication.
