About Me
My 22 years of educating children with learning disabilities, autism, and mild cognitive issues stemmed from my four years of experience teaching my son who had dyslexia, disgraphia, language disorders, ADD, autism and problems with comprehension, especially for abstract thinking. I worked with him for three hours every night after school during his 2nd grade through his 4th grade. My research and putting into practice what I taught him became a strong foundation for me to go back to school to earn my Master's Degree in Special Education: Mild Disabilities. I taught in a resource room for 4th through 6th grade in all subject plus math classes for 4th through 6th grade that included struggling students in math.
Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies include gardening, landscaping, history, activities with my grandchildren, cooking, camping, and finding heterogeneous people to have academic discussions.
