About Me

As a neuro/stroke bedside nurse (from medsurg to ICU), I've learn a passion of teaching new nurses. Nurturing vs "eating the young," has been a healtier method that I've learn improves patient care and outcomes over time. I had 8 preceptors as a new grad nurse, and it was overwhelming chaos. I have my BSN from Marian University - Indianapolis and my Masters in Health Leadership (MHL) from WGU. I am certified in stroke and medical surgical nursing with hopes to be certified in neuro and critical care nursing. I take any opportunity to teach new nurses, patient care techs, coworkers in school, and even my patients and families. I find satisfaction when someone has that moment when everything clicks or realizes something they've struggled to understand.
