About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in English from The College of Wooster and one in Nursing from The Cleveland State University, and an MBA from The Cleveland State University. My nursing experience is in Mental Health. Writing has been a key component of my academic success and a critical tool I brought to my various career experiences. I have designed and edited newsletters, been responsible for proofing grants, spent the last 5 years writing appeal letters for medical necessity to insurance companies, assisted a local artist with entries on her blog and articles that she has submitted for publication, and helped my nieces and nephews with their English assignments, and college entrance and class essays. I have a passion for the English language. My areas of interest in tutoring are: essay writing and proofing, English literature review, and grammar. I am skilled in these areas, and as a tutor it is my goal to share this knowledge and passion for the English language with you, the student. I want to make a difference in your life. My passion of the English language also helped me through nursing school. I am also available to assist nursing students with any essay writing or nursing literature review assignments. What a difference these skills made in my nursing education. I can also help students in nursing school in learning or improving on their medical terminology. I am a proponent of the philosophy that learning is a life-long process. Another goal of mine will be to encourage you to embrace this philosophy and strive for success in your learning experiences.
