About Me

I have been a Nurse for 33 years, and it has always been my nature to care for and help others. Therefore, I very much subscribe to Mr. Roger's statement, "to look for the helper people" when you are anxious or in need. I took the long route in my nursing career because I am a single parent of two boys, well, men now. I started my nursing career as an LPN for 14 years while working on my Associate's Degree in Nursing. I then finished my Bachelor's Degree and my Master's Degree in Nursing Education in 2020. I have developed organizational and study skills over many years as a student. I am a Nursing Lab Professor known for my creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. I currently teach first-semester nursing students Health Promotion and Assessment Lab and Pharmacology Lab. I have always been drawn to vulnerable populations, and before becoming an instructor, I worked for 17 years as an Adult Medical/Surgical Hematology/Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse.
