About Me

I am a PhD student. Upon graduating, I hope to become a university professor and academic historian. During the school semester, I am also a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the History Department. This opportunity allows me to spend much time either working one-on-one with undergraduate students or in front of classrooms teaching history lessons. I enjoy discussing history and helping students see the ways it's more than dates and events. So much of history is being able to communicate your ideas and put together a solid argument for your interpretation of the past. Since everyone knows how history turns out, the classroom is somewhere to discuss or debate why events occurred. By association, writing is a passion of mine, and I spend much time doing it for my own grad courses and dissertation research.
