I am passionate about helping students to succeed in their classes because I know what it is like to be frustrated about not figuring something out like the answer to a reading question or math problem. You, the student, are the one who steers the ship, and I will be along to encourage and be patient with you as you discover the answers you need. Currently, I have experience working with both college and high school students, but I have also worked with middle schoolers as a tutor when I was in high school. I tutor English Language Arts, Writing, and Communication. I also have taken multiple fictional writing courses and Shakespeare courses as well. In June 2022, I will be graduating from Oregon State University with my Bachelor's Degree in English with Honors. In Fall 2022, I am moving onto to my Master's Degree in Education at Western Oregon University to become a high school English teacher. I love tutoring in Writing best because I like to give suggestions and watch students take off with their own ideas and writing style from just a few words. It is amazing to watch a student start with a vague idea of what they want to write, and I help them flesh it into an introduction or something like it. Outside of academics, I like to read books for fun. I recently started reading a fantasy series called Dragonlance, which is a Dungeons and Dragons based world. I also like to watch movies and tv shows. The Marvel movies are really great, and I'm most looking forward to the next Doctor Strange film. I look forward to tutoring you!
