When asked why I like Mathematics, I realized that it is all down to my personality. Being a composed, explicit person, I enjoy the challenge of questions with unequivocal answers. I'm a problem solver and a data addict. My character's orderly side draws me enthusiastically towards neat solutions while my creativity side gives rise to my acceptance of new ideas and positive mind results in my wish to succeed. I'm currently completing my Masters of Science in Mathematics at Youngstown State University. Gauss described mathematics as the "queen of the sciences" because of its impact on so many fields of study. Mathematics has helped me to develop the ability to reason through complex problems and to analyze and model quantitatively. In 1998, I also completed a Masters degree in Byzantine Music Theory and Vocal Performance at the Conservatory of Music in Athens, Greece. My focus was on the ancient ecclesiastical art form known as the Psaltic Art. The division of time, tempo and the musical scales, intervals and notation involved date back to the Byzantium and are quite mathematical, to say the least.
