About Me

I am currently enrolled at North Carolina Central University as a Psychology major. I hope to go to grad school after attaining my bachelors degree and eventually become a licensed talk therapist. Though my focus in school is on Psych, Ive chosen Reading and English as my tutoring subjects because ever since I read my first book as a child I've had a passion for both. I love reading new stories and learning new things and I treasure having the ability to comprehend and be able to help others comprehend underlying themes and messages that are being relayed throughout different texts. I believe that as long as you have the right strategies, reading comprehension can become a tool in anyones belt. There is a lesson in every text and that is a concept I will strive to be able to pass along to all my students. Outside of academics, I play the clarinet and spend most of my free time with the Marching Band at my school. Hobbies: books, music, singing, painting, art, reading, writing
