About Me

"I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way" (Houston, 1991). I love students, and I love to see students light up when they have a "lightbulb moment," and that's what I want to give to the students I serve. I want to see you learn and enjoy what and how you're learning. I love to create lessons that are engaging, interactive, and connects learning to living. I believe the lessons and skills we will remember or the lessons we've experienced. I was a middle school ELA teacher with a certification in ELA/Reading. I am a graduate of University of Houston-Downtown, and I am pursuing a graduate degree in Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. As you might expect, I love reading. Books have taken me to places I can only dream of, it has given me a wealth of knowledge, and I can hold dinner conversation with anybody (lol). I love traveling and spending time with my family. I want to help as many scholars as possible realize their greatest potential. Reading and comprehension is key in every subject, and I want to help you learn skills that will aid you in and across content.
