About Me

I have been an educator for over 8 years and my areas of specialization are English, Literature, U.S. History, and Drama. My teaching background primarily involves working with elementary school age children, but I have also conducted workshops for middle schoolers and taught adult learners. I have been a camp counselor for five- and six-year olds, supervised an after school program for first and second graders, prepped kids for a Spelling Bee, directed a drama club for high school students, and conducted acting workshops. At Cornell University, I obtained my BS in Industrial and Labor Relations at the ILR School (also known as the I Love to Read School) with a major in ILR and a minor in Education. As an Education minor, I gained experience working with students with diverse learning styles doing fieldwork as a teacher in the Ithaca area. I was also an enthusiastic member of a sketch comedy group and have acted in films. My passions are voice acting, reading, and teaching young students to master their work so they gain confidence and pride in their abilities. I believe my strength as an educator is the ability to connect with students where they are and to make learning fun and engaging.
