About Me

Hi, I come from an art background. I was born and raised in China, and studies in Australia, and then worked in the art and cultural field in China. And now I am based in NYC and I have been here for over 3 years. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Arts, specializing in Art History and Art Market. During my time in college, I taught Australian and Korean students Chinese, with a focus on conversational mandarin. I always taught language on a one-on-one basis. I believe it is best to understand the goal and purpose of the language learner so that I can customize my teaching method for the student. I have been working in art for nearly 10 years, and I specialize in modern and contemporary art. I give talks on art-related topics, and I am always passionate about sharing and teaching art to people. I had also been a docent at New Museum before they stopped the program due to the pandemic. I would love to help you, regardless of your age, to learn Chinese language and culture, or learn modern and contemporary art (can be taught in either Chinese or English).I look forward to meeting you.
