About Me

A little bit about myself:I'm from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Currently working to earn an Industrial Engineering Degree at the University of Central Florida, Go Knights! I'm easygoing, flexible, understanding and hard working. I enjoy being challenged in my academics and expanding my knowledge on a variety of topics. High school History/Passion for teaching:Graduated from Olympia High School in 2017. My passion for teaching and tutoring started back when I was in middle school. I'm really good at Math so most days when school got out, I would reunite with my Algebra 1 teacher to help students with difficulties in the class. This is when I realized I had a passion for teaching and tutoring. My passion continued when I went on to high school as I started taking more advanced courses. Taking higher level courses allowed me to assist my peers in more complex subject areas. Subjects that I tutor:SpanishPre-AlgebraAlgebra 1I don't have any preferences when it comes to tutoring. I love to tutor any subject that I'm an expert at and give students the knowledge they deserve to have. My goal with each tutoring session is to engage the student on the material that's supposed to be learned. I expect student's to ask questions about the subject to better understand their level of knowledge in the course. I always like to start with some icebreakers to get to know my students better before jumping right into the material. I aim to create a positive and challenging learning environment for my student's. I also encourage my student's to adopt new studying habits that will allow them to succeed in more advanced courses.
