I am a current student at Grinnell College who is passionate about helping students achieve their academic potential through personalized learning. I have worked as an educator in a variety of contexts, with a wide range of age groups, and know that what it takes for students to thrive is recognition and advocacy for their individuality as students and as people. For over two years, I have worked with children as a volunteer for Sarah's Inn, a nonprofit organization that serves families affected by domestic violence. During high school, I also volunteered for over a year with Roses4Austin, which is an artistic after school program in the Austin neighborhood. Finally, I also enjoy dance and have assistant taught at Transcendance Studios in Oak Park, as well as taught a technique class to middle school aged dancers at Steppin' Out Dance Studio in Grinnell, Iowa. I am thrilled to continue helping students of elementary school through high school reach their goals with confidence.

I love to dance, and especially enjoy ballet and contemporary styles. I also love listening to music, reading through New York Times archives and old issues of Life magazine, and riding my bike. I am trying to learn how to identify different types of plants and flowers in my neighborhood and birds by their calls.
