About Me

I am a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in English. During my time at Denison, I served as a consultant in the Writing Center, where I worked with my peers on papers for all subject areas. I also competed on the Moot Court team. Since graduation, I have served as a coach and mentor in many different capacities: for three years, I served as a assistant director of a nonprofit where I regularly trained 75 different community leaders to effectively communicate on local issues, and for the past five years, I've served as the coordinator for New Moon Girl Media's Sister to Sister mentor program, where I work with high school and middle school aged girls on blog posts and other writing. Currently, I teach writing as a camp counselor at Thurber House Literary Center and I will soon be serving as a GTA through the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan.
