About Me

First and foremost, I am an effective tutor. I graduated from New York University Stern School of Business with double majors in Actuarial Science and Finance and a joint minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. I am currently working as a Model Risk Specialist. I have passed 4 actuarial exams (P, FM, MFE, C) with only one attempt in each exam. For actuarial exams preparation, I am able to help students to prepare their exams in an effective way without providing them with overwhelming exercises. My actuarial knowledge is applicable to both finance and statistics. As a model risk specialist, I am proficient in SQL and Python, and I used them on daily basis to perform task automation. My practical experience not only can prepare students for their exams but also their real-life usage. I am also an experienced tutor in android apps development for middle school and high school students. Over the course of 10 weeks, I will teach my students to develop 10 different android apps. My tutoring approach is straightforward. I boil down the concepts into intuitive understanding for students to digest and I then help them utilize their understanding of concepts into solving exam/assignment questions. Combined with my 7 years of tutoring with students in various levels (college, high school, and middle school). I am confident that I have the full credential to be an actuarial science, finance, statistics, Java, Python, SQL and math tutor.
