I lived with a host family, attended La Sorbonne and wrote for a French fashion publication. It was an entirely immersive experience, and I got to the point where I was not only fluent, but thinking and dreaming in French. The ultimate goal for any Francophile, and one that continues to this day. I am a cultural sponge and an aesthete to the core, and have travelled to 25 different countries. Immersing yourself in another culture is the best form of self-enlightenment, and a passion I share through my teaching. I am a writer by trade, and wrote a slang, style and culture guide to Paris - Parisienne French - available in bookstores, boutiques and Amazon worldwide.
