About Me

Math is difficult. It can be scary. I am here to help. I got my BA in mathematics at Hunter College/CUNY. I studied economics in grad school at Oregon State. While in grad school I taught courses in economics and applied statistics. Since then I have tutored high school students in algebra, geometry and SAT math prep. I tutor all high school mathematics, economics and statistics. My favorite is SAT math because the questions require a detective-like approach and present an interesting challenge. I believe in strong grounding in mathematical definitions and methods tutored through example and backed up by repetition. I am always patient and encouraging. In my free time I like playing guitar and piano.
