I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University in December 2016. During college, I worked on research projects in social sciences both at Northwestern and with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, a nonprofit organization that advocates for policies designed to eliminate homelessness in Illinois. I have tutoring experience dating back to high school and am particularly interested in helping students with writing and SAT prep. However, I am comfortable tutoring multiple other subjects, especially economics and certain areas of math. I truly enjoy the teaching process and am passionate about helping students realize their academic potential.

I would ask the student first to give me some background on their current knowledge of whatever subject we are addressing. I would then ask the student to identify some areas they are having trouble with. I would finally work with the student to develop a plan for how to tackle the areas they are having difficulty with. I would also work with them to make sure that my plan truly reflects the goals they want to accomplish.
