I graduated with a BA in English and Sociology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Washington in 2010. I then went on to work in Early Childhood Education before seeking a Master of Education in Instruction and Curriculum Design from Concordia University in Portland, which I completed in September of 2016.I have taught all ages, from 3 to adult. I believe that learning should be fun, and that everyone is a capable individual. Sometimes the traditional route of learning isn't the best way, and that's okay. People see and understand things differently, and we may need to take a different approach. To me, understanding has more power than rote memorization.

When I am not lost in a book, I enjoy running, lifting weights, painting, and exploring. I am also currently attempting to relearn how to ride a bike.
