About Me

A little about myself: I am currently a High School Science Teacher at Eustis High. I teach Environmental and Forensic Science. I graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Marine Biology. For about five years I worked with Dr. Joel Trexler and Dr. Kevin Boswell working on the spatio-temporal patterns in the distribution, behavior, and foraging of fish in the Everglade canals using advanced fisheries sonar techniques. I inherited my project from a graduated MS student and my senior thesis was responsible for the previously overlooked role of submerged vegetation and structural complexity on predator prey interactions. I bring a lot of my research experience in to the classroom. My main goal is to teach so that there is understanding and comprehending among the students, and not just memorizing. I love teaching! I believe that education is the best weapon we can arm ourselves with. I will do my best to teach you the material that you need to know in manner that you will understand and remember beyond a test or a class.
