I learned in high school that you learn 90% of what you teach and I've stood by that ever since. I first tutored 7th grade math as a senior in High School and I also tutored Physics 2 (Electricity and Magnetism) in College. After graduating, I substituted in two school districts for a semester. Math oriented material has always been my favorite and is what I focus on. When it comes to learning math it's important to remember certain techniques and recognize when to use them. I like for students to tell me what they do understand and then guide them from there. Outside of studying, my top three hobbies are stand-up comedy, playing basketball, and playing chess.
