About Me

Education has always been of high value and priority in my life. As a daughter of an educator, schooling was always essential in my household. Moving through my academic career I slowly realized that my passion for learning could be turned into a profession. My love of learning and my propensity for compassion led me to become an educator. I am in the process of finishing my Master's Degree in Secondary Education but have my bachelor's in English. Additionally, I have a background in history and certification in K-12 English education. Currently, I am working as a high school English Teacher in a Blue Ribbon school district in New Jersey. Prior to this position, I worked as a preschool teacher, teacher assistant for special needs students, swim instructor, camp counselor, nanny, and had a practicum and student teaching experience at the middle school and high school level. Beyond my love for the learning process, I genuinely enjoy working with children and young adults. I enjoy working with young people and helping them achieve both academic and personal goals. I firmly believe that all children can learn and as an educator I strive to create a learning environment that fosters that belief. I also use culturally responsive teaching as well as differentiated instruction to ensure all my students are learning. My enthusiasm and positivity creates for a fun and interactive learning environment where all students are engaged in the learning process. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make an excellent addition to your child's learning experience.
