I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with my Bachelor's in Philosophy. I have spent the past three years as a teacher at a private high school in Connecticut. I have taught British Literature, World Literature, Drama, Health, Physical Education, and Psychology. I have also tutored for the past three months at a Community College, working in the Center for Academic Progress, teaching remedial English and preparing tutoring materials. I am a sensitive, patient, and enthusiastic teacher. I love teaching, but I prefer one-on-one interactions, they are the best for learning and teaching. I am respectful of all people, and happy to work with all ages. I genuinely care whether someone understands material, I believe in a student-centered approach, and I prefer discussion and positive reinforcement over being a critical authority figure. I have found most students very responsive to me and appreciative of my methods. My hobbies and interests include writing, playing sports and video games, and spending time with friends.
