About Me

I am a Florida State University graduate with a degree in English. After my time at FSU, I went into education, teaching or tutoring nearly every age group. I taught 6th grade Language Arts, 11th grade English, and College Prep English as an adjunct instructor at Seminole State. I have also tutored nearly every age range for two major tutoring agencies. My teaching style is fairly laid back, with a strong emphasis on the student learning to get it right on their own. Often, too many students expect the answer to be given to them, even with tutors. That's not how it will get done with me. I enjoy teaching anything writing-related, and have a vast understanding of how to channel a student's voice into their writing. I'm also a self-described "grammar nerd" and especially enjoy new vocabulary. My hobbies including reading (of course), writing all sorts of media, including music, poetry, and stories. I also enjoy working out and, my newest hobby, participating in obstacle races.
