About Me

I am a graduate of Ripon College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish Language and Literature with high honors. I have four years of experience tutoring both Spanish and English. Since graduation I have spent the last two years living in Spain where I taught and tutored private English classes. My favorite subject to tutor is Spanish because I am passionate about the language and about helping students understand and master its intricacies. I am an avid proponent of education because I believe that an enriched education is key to both personal and professional success. I believe that a tutor is a bridge between the student's potential and the subject matter. I believe in helping students become independent learners by fostering critical thinking skills through asking questions, presenting the information in a new light and encouraging them to feel confident and inspired while learning. In my spare time I enjoy enriching my body and mind through reading, hiking, dancing and traveling.
