About Me

I am a native Spanish speaker with family in Pamplona, Spain. I have a passion for the Spanish culture and language. I travel to Spain every summer. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. In addition to Spain, I have visited Turkey, Mexico, Honduras, Ireland, England, Wales, France. My goal for my students is to communicate in the target language and to instill in them a curiosity for learning about different cultures. I am a graduate of SUNY New Paltz, earning a Bachelor's in Adolescent Education for 7-12 and Spanish. I am also a graduate of New York Institute of Technology, earning a Master's in School Counseling for K-12.I have been teaching Spanish to middle and high school students for the past 5 years. I received my Teaching Certification for grades 7-12.I am experienced with assisting ESL/ELL students with Reading and Writing. I am delighted to be able to reach out to these students during their transition to a new country and culture. As a Teacher, I tailor my lessons to individual student needs, learning styles, and abilities. My main goal with my students is to communicate in the target language in the most authentic way possible, creating dialogues and having conversations about real-life situations that may arise while traveling/studying abroad.
