I am a graduate of the University of South Alabama. I am certified in both Elementary Education and Special Education. For two years, I taught Special Education Math and Life Skills to sixth through eighth graders. I have tutored students in elementary reading, as well as elementary mathematics. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family.

I am a licensed teacher from central Ohio. I am licensed to teach 4th - 9th grade language arts and social studies, as well as K-12 special education, mild-moderate needs. I currently am an intervention specialist teaching 7th grade inclusion language arts.

I am now a certified behavior change specialist. The Behavior Change Specialist helps me empathize, listen compassionately, and assist the students nonjudgmentally.

I'm constantly observing how the student's whole body integrates information; these observations inform me, as the tutor, about what is working and what we methods we need to try. For example, if one tool for visual attention to text isn't working, we talk about what's off and try tools until one is just right. I tend to use models of problem solving that involve ongoing updates about what's right, what's off, and what's just right; we can work strategically to maximize outcomes.

I am currently studying to pass the state licensure exam to be certified as a Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist k-12. My experience includes private, group, and individualized tutoring. I'm a Cincinnati Bengals fan. I enjoy spending time at home watching tv or Netflix. If I do go out, I like to go for walks, kayaking, or swimming. I prefer the warmer weather, and I love a good vacation. My favorite foods are pizza and sushi with chocolate chip cookies or Creme Brule for dessert.
