I'm fairly good at math. I love art and music and movies and make sure to spare some time for a good TV show once in a while. I'm plenty mature, but I have to admit I have a soft spot for cartoons. Learning and teaching are my lifelong passions, and it is this passion that I hope to impart to my students; I want to infect my students with the intellectual enthusiasm that has brought so many rewards to my own life.

I am also a published writer, with essays and articles appearing in Foreign Policy Magazine, the Oxford Encyclopedia, and other publications. I am an incoming business school student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I will be starting next fall. I received my bachelors degree in economics at Yale University, where I also worked as an editor to the Yale Daily News.

I am currently in my fourth year of school, and will be applying tointernal medicine residency programs in the fall. I find the most effective learning strategy is to understand the underlying concepts behind a subject, which facilitates the application of this knowledge to a wide range of novel problems in a testing environment. Additionally, by helping a student find a personal connection to the material, I can foster a passion for the subject that motivates independent learning.

I'm planning on applying to PHD programs in media studies soon. I have been in love with learning all my life, and I hope to be a professor one day.
