I am a graduate of Clark University where I received my B.A in Physics and Mathematics. I grew up going between Los Angeles and Paris, always in a French school so I quickly became bilingual.

I am most passionate about English, History, Math, and the SAT. I am fascinated by the SAT. I love teaching struggling test takers how to view the SAT as an approachable, accessible set of riddles and games instead of as an intellectual brick wall. I'm a New York transplant to LA, and a freelance composer and musician by nature. I am an artist and a teacher-- these are my two passions! I'm also a translator, linguistics nerd, avid reader, and fabulous teacher. I went to NYU and studied Linguistics, and am continuing my studies for an Applied Linguistics Masters here in California.

I am available to work up to thirty hours per week. Friday through Sunday I would generally be free to tutor at any time; on Mondays, I am available during the day, and on Wednesdays, I am available from mid-afternoon (starting around three) through the evening. I am usually not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I would not need to take any month off.

I am a graduate from New York University with a degree in Media, Culture and Communication. I have experience tutoring from elementary level through college level, as well as in SAT prep. I think patience is the key to being an effective teacher, which is something I apply while tutoring students. Furthermore, I think it is important that students never lose the joy that comes with learning.

I am constantly seeking out new areas of interest, whether it's online courses or working on a new degree or taking up a new hobby. Interacting with students of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities always leads to that rewarding experience of helping someone learn something new. I'm interested in biking, travel, the environment, and entrepreneurship. I've volunteered for the state parks, Tree People, and similar organizations. Over the course of my life, I've probably traveled more miles on a bike than I've driven.

I am interested in becoming involved in educational policy at the national level later on in my life. Teaching is a joy that has always rivaled the happiness I receive from reading a great poem or communicating in another language.
