I am a native of Tucson, Arizona and lived almost all of my life there. I have an undergraduate degree in piano performance as well as a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D in Spanish Literature from the University of Arizona. It seemed natural to me to be a Wildcat, because my father was a business professor there for 24 years. I live now in Tempe and have family both in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Although I have lived elsewhere, I feel most at home in the Sonoran Desert, heat and all!

I am currently the 4th-8th grade Newcomer English as a Second Language Teacher at an elementary school in Glendale, Arizona. As an English as a Second Language Teacher, I am well-versed in intervention and intensive tutoring for reading, writing, and grammar. I have taught students in Pre-K through 8th grade, and am very familiar with the academic expectations of students throughout these grades.

I am currently in the Master's of Nursing Program at the University of Arizona.

I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Arizona State University as well as a minor in Spanish. I served a two-year mission in Peru for my church.
