How can a tutor assist you in conquering Physics?

Physics is a branch of science that uses measurements, experiments, and mathematical analysis in order to find the properties and nature of energy and matter. Topics such as radiation, heat, light, electricity, sound, the structure of atoms, and magnetism are explored. If the complexity of the field was unexpected and you find yourself needing more assistance than your instructor can provide, a private physics tutor could help. Varsity Tutors is happy to try to help you find an independent physics tutor in Medford.

There are many branches within the field of physics, including astrophysics, biophysics, atomic physics, and computational physics. While working towards an understanding of one of the branches there are a variety of challenging topics you may encounter. A professional physics tutor can try to help you understand oscillations and mechanical waves, thermodynamics, geometric optics, or special relativity. It is impossible to say with any certainty what your personal tutor will assist you with because each student's needs are so different. Work to try to improve with the assistance of a professional physics tutor in Medford.

I made math problems dealing with finding imaginary number solutions and the law of sines. The student did well on these. We also worked on problems dealing with simple machines, mechanical advantage, and efficiency in preparation for his test tomorrow. The student did very well on these, and he has made a lot of progress on these concepts. I then quizzed him on some of the related vocabulary and he did very well. I'm confident he will do well on his test tomorrow.

We briefly went over the Pythagorean Theorem from her geometry class. There were also a few problems involving the areas of triangles or trapezoids that applied the Pythagorean Theorem. For physics, we went over forces on slopes. I think she understands how to set up the problems and the equations, but we will be focusing on trigonometry because she hasn't learned it in her math classes yet. I then explained the essential basics of trigonometric functions and how to apply them to physics problems.

During this session I worked with the student reviewing for her upcoming midterm. We spent the session reviewing concepts from old homework assignments. We started with mirrors. With this we discussed angle of incidence and reflection, the mirror equation, and how to find the image its magnification for concave and convex mirrors. We then moved on to refraction and Snell's law. With this we spent some time on geometry and trig and also discussed complete internal reflection. We ended discussing lenses and multi-lens problems.
