I also hold a Wilson Reading System Level 1 Certificate and have earned recognition as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. My areas of certification on my WV teaching certificate include: Elementary Education, Multi-Categorical (LD, BD, MI), Autism, and Preschool Special Needs. I also hold a certification in Secondary English in PA.

I am a Virginia native who has recently relocated to Cincinnati after a year spent abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. I received my BA in English Literature from Virginia Tech. (GO HOKIES!) I have completed my Master's Degree at the University of Edinburgh. I wrote my dissertation on early modern South Asian and Islamic art. I love to read, write, sketch, and check out museums in my spare time.

I attended Yukon High School as a member of the AP program, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl Team, and Physics Club. During high school, I helped many students with a variety of subjects as well as the ACT. I attended OSU-Stillwater and Redlands Community College to receive my Associates in Science. I am currently attending OSU to receive my Bachelor's in Agriculture Education. It is my goal to help students find the style of learning that works best for them and utilize that in assisting them with academic goals.

I'm a college chemistry lecturer and laboratory instructor who enjoys helping students learn! I've taught college courses for the past 5 years as a professor, and the preceding 5 years as a graduate student while obtaining my PhD. During the last 13 years, I've tutored students of all ages and academic backgrounds in chemistry, biochemistry, math, and music. My experience allows me to help you reach your goals!

I received my MS and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology (CMPP) at University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) in Rochester, NY. My interest in both pharmacology and drug discovery led to my endeavor of achieving novel cell signaling pathways that can steer the wheel of developing therapeutical means for cancerous diseases.For in-person sessions: I am vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.

As team leader, I was able to develop curriculum and implement procedures.I believe in team work and organizational flexibility according to student needs and goals.I seek professional challenges and personal growth. I am currently a second year Master of Social Work student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have spent time teaching English as a language assistant in Madrid, Spain, which allowed me to pursue my interests in languages, traveling, and tapas! I have a great deal of experience working with children of all ages. I have worked as a babysitter, camp counselor, tutor and teacher. I enjoy tutoring all subjects -I like trying to explain subjects in a new way that makes them interesting for my students. I do my best to make learning as fun and creative as possible, using whatever method works best for the student.

I just graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor's in English. Most of my teaching experience comes from helping the children I babysit with their homework, and from teaching my peers how to knit. I tutor English, any grades, with a focus on writing, because that is what my education has prepared me for. I want to help students reach their full potential, and adjust my teaching style to how they learn. I prefer to teach by example; explaining what I am doing, then having the student try and correcting any errors.

I am a post-doctoral neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University at Albany in New York and my Bachelor's of Science is in Psychology and Biology from Western Oregon University. I have been mentoring and tutoring high school, undergraduate, and graduate students for over 10 years across a variety of scientific disciplines. I love all areas of biology and use chemistry and math on a daily basis with my job, while I also have a degree emphasis in studio art from my undergraduate institution, which provides me with a broad background of expertise. I also have extensive public speaking experience and have mentored several people in developing/refining this skill. Additionally, I have done considerable work in writing mentorship ranging from college application essays to manuscripts. I have edited all my undergraduate's medical and graduate school essays, and I'm very proud that all of them have been accepted into a program of their choosing.I pride myself on figuring out the unique style of learning that each student has, and then break down the material to enable him/her to enhance academic confidence and success. I encourage communication on both ends and believe that hard work and success on the part of the student should be rewarded in order to further reinforce the new learning behaviors.Outside of science I avidly pursue photography and culinary arts. I love nature and hiking, rafting, kayaking, camping, sports, anything that gets me outside. Now that I'm done with school I hope to re-establish my creative side and refine some of my studio art skills. I am also learning botany this year while planting my own garden for the first time.
