For those interested in my academicside, I graduated from Southern Methodist University with Bachelors Degrees in Biological Science and Health & Society. I also have an Associates Degree in General Sciences. I previously tutored in my college's Math Lab where I experienced tutoring students both in 1 on 1 and in group settings. I tutor math because I am passionate about the subject. My approach to tutoring is to facilitatelearning by doing. I determine what each student needs to succeed by working through problems and scenariostogether.For my police side, I graduated valedictorianat the police academy and scored the highestin my class on the certification exam. I helped others in my academy through study groups and individual instruction.In my spare time I enjoy fitness and video games. I have made friends from all over the world from gaming, and I even traveled to Iceland for a conference!

I have been working as a nurse for 10 years. I am currently working in a high acuity ICU in New York City. I enjoy working as a preceptor on my unit, helping nurses gain the skills and expertise required to work in a high acuity setting.Nurses play such a vital role in healthcare, a role which has a direct and profound effect on patient outcomes. This requires critical thinking and problem solving skills. I will work with you on these skills using practice NCLEX or CCRN questions, with rationale and content review.The future is going to require strong nurses, and I am prepared to help you become one. I worked as a tutor throughout my college years, and I am confident I can help you pass the NCLEX or CCRN.I am also available to any nurse who is struggling to adjust to a new critical care setting. With 17 years in the nursing profession, and 23 years total in the healthcare field, I can help students to see the bigger picture in the world of healthcare. If a student is motivated to learn, there is no end to what they can achieve. I struggled in math in high school and realized in college that sometimes the way something is explained by another person is all that's needed to get someone to understand it. I hope to be that person for students and help them grasp concepts by explaining it in a way they understand.

For the past 6 years, I have dedicated my time and energy to helping others learn new things. I have always loved being apart of a student's growth in a skill or self-confidence.I received my undergraduate degree from Temple University for Music Education and am certified to teach in the state of Philadelphia. Throughout my own education, I have tutored and taught K-8 in math, English, music, and STEAM in large group classes and one on one sessions.All students have the ability to improve their skills and themselves. My mission is to facilitate their learning and improvement, through observation and thorough assessment of a student's needs.I am flexible, funny, and dedicated to every student and subject that I teach. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, and the odd DIY project.

I am a true, lifelong learner. I started my educational journey at the age of 12 becoming a writer/author and published my first book at 17. As a first generation college student, I have broken the glass ceiling for women in my family many times. I love empowering people educationally and aspire to be a coach to women nationwide.

I am a learner. I enjoy learning information and using that information to dive deeper into my interests, understand and see the world in a different way and most importantly, teach others. I make learning fun and easy for my students to understand.
