As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment in subjects like AP U.S. Government & Politics, AP World History. With over 2 years of tutoring experience and more than 7 years in the classroom, I focus on making students feel comfortable and connected through humor and relatability. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the power of humor to reengage frustrated learners and turning challenges into opportunities for growth. I am deeply motivated by a genuine love for teaching and an enthusiasm for international relations, which I incorporate into my lessons to inspire curiosity about the world. I love to read. My favorite genres are historical fiction and sci-fi. I've been known to try my hand at writing the occasional short story as well.
