Isaiah: Goodyear tutor
Certified Tutor
I am deeply passionate about helping students gain confidence and clarity in their learning journey. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to support a wide range of learnersfrom mentoring elementary students in Atlanta to assisting graduate students with foundational coursework at NYU. This experience has shaped my commitment to meeting students where they are and guiding them to where they aspire to be.
My educational background includes a Master's in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Morehouse College. These degrees have equipped me to tutor subjects such as computer science, software engineering, graduate and undergraduate school prep, math, and writing, while also fostering a love for interdisciplinary thinking. My favorite topics to teach include coding and digital creativity because they allow students to build both technical skill and expressive confidence.
In every session, I prioritize clarity, patience, and curiosity. I believe that effective tutoring isn't just about answersit's about sparking understanding and cultivating long-term learning strategies. Outside of tutoring, I'm actively involved in research around digital preservation and cultural history, especially through a project on hip-hop heritage. I also enjoy music production, creative technology, and community-focused design.
