My teaching philosophy has always aligned with the old proverb "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life." I encourage learners to be active participants in their education. By identifying each student's learning style, I am better equipped to help them digest information in a way that is most conducive to how they process that which has been presented to them. Communication is critical to learning. I aim to make my students better readers, writers, listeners and speakers by helping them cast their own line.

I was a three-sport athlete in high school and I went on to play basketball in college. My love for sports led me into coaching post-graduation and I viewed coaching as just another form of teaching. They are essentially one and the same. I am also an avid writer. To date, I have written and pitched five feature-length screenplays to various individuals in Hollywood. It is not an easy industry to break into, but I did get famed actress Demi Moore to look at one of my most recent scripts. I love to golf, attend concerts and travel. I have been to three of the seven continents and countless countries around the world. Finally, I have two cats, who I adore and who occupy much of my time.
