Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Davidson College, I leverage my academic background to foster critical thinking and effective communication in my students. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and explore their ideas. My approach emphasizes personalized instruction tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring they not only grasp the material but also develop a love for learning. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and exploring new cultures through travel, which enriches my teaching and inspires my students to broaden their perspectives. I was tutored growing up and have experienced firsthand the strength of kind, personal, and patient tutoring. I am an avid reader who loves all books, nonfiction and fiction. I believe reading is one of the key tools in exercising the imagination, creativity, and brain. I also love to listen to music, specifically genres such as 90s yacht rock, pop/alternative indie, and house music. In addition, I am a passionate cook who loves to prepare meals of diverse cuisines for his friends and family -- my favorite cuisine is Korean. I believe in a good life balance, my physical-activity interests in being collegiate club soccer team, recreational tennis and basketball, and scuba diving.
