Certified Tutor

In 2020, I graduated with a degree in Psychology and Biological Anthropology from Boston University. During my time at university, I volunteered in AmeriCorps' Jumpstart program, where I taught reading and writing skills to preschoolers. I am currently an M.S. student at the Center of Human Paleobiology at The George Washington University, where I study nonhuman primate cognition. As a part of my work as a master's student, I have lab managerial responsibilities. My research mentor is apart of the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, so I have access to a resources related to these subjects as well. I frequently mentor college undergraduates, present current research in lab meetings, and edit any writing or grants for the lab.
I tutor students in a broad range of disciplines from Pre-K to college-aged; however, I am most passionate about public speaking, essay editing, reading/writing comprehension, IB exam preparation, and research instruction. My tutoring style is tailored to each student's individual needs. I create lesson plans based on a student's learning style. I strive to create a learning space filled with kindness, patience, support, and enthusiasm.
