Hi there!

My name is Anne, I graduated this spring from Georgetown University with a major in international politics, minor in environmental studies, and a certificate in African studies. Throughout my time there I was an editor for Georgetown's newspaper, The Hoya. I working with countless authors across undergrad, grad, and law school to improve the grammar, stylistic choices, and concision in their writing and ultimately led a team of 10 who I taught to do the same.

Before undergrad I was a tutor for elementary school children who were learning English, helping to bridge the gap between their Spanish households and English instruction. I have also been an independent tutor working with kids from kindergarten to high school. I have instructed students with all kinds of neurodivergencies on everything from building confidence and organizatoinal skills in the classroom, to english schools, to general mathematics, writing, and reading comprehension.

I am passionate about writing and have held various roles in government focused on policy briefs and memos. I also wrote a thesis that compared literature from African Studies and Security Studies in an evaluation of counterterrorism doctrine in Africa. This exercise required extensive research and analysis, which was distilled into a 100 page piece of writing for which I won an award.

I am an adept editor, perfect for helping older students with everything from college entrance essays to research papers, but also an adaptable instructor for standardized tests, spanish, ESL, and elementary school education. I am passionate about supporting students and look forward to working with you!
