I have always been super passionate about helping students improve their writing and speaking skills and that has really informed both my college experience and my goal of becoming a professor in the future. I am currently a senior at the University of Missouri (graduating in May 2025) as a communication and political science double major. I have also been accepted as a communication master's student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for this upcoming fall where I will be teaching an undergraduate public speaking course.

My experience in the classroom has been very diverse and has prepared for to teach and tutor in a variety of situations. For the past three years I have been a high school debate and forensics coach allowing me to work with a team of 200 students and help them with their public speaking and argument devolvement. I have also served as an Assistant TA for a public speaking course and as an assistant course director for an undergraduate communication research class at the University of Missouri. As a result, I have ample experience working with students in both large and small groups and a plethora of experience teaching all elements of the communication process.

Moreover, I have lots of experience with academic writing that I could help to teach to any level of writer. My writing has helped me to be awarded a Fulbright Canada Mitacs Globalink Research Internship, a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Honorable Mention, and to have original research published in the journal of Preventive Medicine.
