I've been teaching in one form or another since I was a teenagerfrom Kung Fu to chemistry labs to mentoring PhDs in clinical settingsand I've learned that if you can't explain something clearly, you probably don't fully understand it. I hold a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Biochemistry from DePaul University, and I bring a practical, patient, and interactive approach to tutoring. Whether it's chemistry or biology, I focus on real-world connections, clear thinking, and helping concepts click.

Outside of tutoring I enjoy spending time with my family; volunteering especially church, school, and scouting events, fundraising, and Feed My Starving Children; wandering forest paths with my dog; and getting overly excited about new recipes and perfectly grilled food at sunset. I grew up on science fiction and horror, and have found a place in the haunted house community.
